You will be action as an IT BA and leading a Chapter of IT Business Analysts working in the Core Bank & Advisory domain (core bank, mortgages, business lending, real estate finance, collections, lease & factoring).The IT Business Analyst is a key player in the cooperation between IT and Business stakeholders. You drive to make complex changes happen within and across Tribes. Your holistic view as well as your knowledge of both Business and IT are crucial in the translation of business requirements to business value. You align between squads – from the same or different Tribe(s) – and other parts of the organization and manage dependencies.Your key responsibilities as a Chapter Lead IT Business Analyst

  • As an IT Chapter Lead you are a senior IT Business Analyst, and you are seen by colleagues as a go-to person
  • Along with the IT Lead and your fellow IT BA and IT Integrator Chapter Leads you set the standards for the way of working and making sure that the resourcing planning of your chapter is managed
  • You have not only a strong drive to keep your own expertise up to speed constantly but also want to make an active contribution to the development and craftsmanship of the people in your chapter and the IT BA role
  • You are an energetic Chapter Lead with expertise in business analysis, people management and an affinity for building critical applications
  • You are an IT Business Analyst, and this will be your role in the squad for 60% of your time. The remaining 40% you spend on building up expertise in your chapter and developing your chapter members.

As IT Business Analyst your key responsibilities are:

  • Breakdown strategy and requirements into designs and ensure delivery
  • To contribute to roadmaps of the different domains
  • Address features (and underlying user stories) to the relevant squads and support in the accurate feature development.
  • Gather the requirements for the features and align these with stakeholders in different domains
  • Create solution designs based on the requirements
  • Identify and manage risks and potential issues and offer improvements across teams
  • Together with relevant stakeholders (Architects, Product Leads, Infra) you align the priority of features.

Making things happen by collaboration

  • You are comfortable with collaboration and reaching out across Tribes and functional borders and serve as a liaison when needed. You easily connect and align stakeholders within all levels of the ING organization, from IT Lead to IT engineer and from Tribe Lead to internal ING users or external parties.
  • You are able to implement changes in an end-to-end context covering all functional and non-functional aspects in close collaboration with multiple teams, including IT infrastructure dependencies. Therefore, you demonstrate an understanding of IT concepts and have significant knowledge of the IT landscape. You guide and challenge IT engineers when making implementation choices.

  • A master’s degree in IT (Engineering) or equal by experience
  • Minimal 10 years of experience in IT in a complex and challenging IT environment
  • Data migration and data design experience
  • Experience with complex analysis over multiple domains
  • Analytic skills for creating end-to-end solutions. You have an eye for details, but you do not lose sight of the larger picture.
  • Experience with the Core Bank & Advisory domains is preferred (Business Banking, Collections, Core Bank, Mortgages)
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills (telling – selling) across different skill and seniority levels
