Our Client is an American manufacturer of high quality, technical products for industrial clients. Company is a part of an international leading group. Due to the expansion of the sales office in Warsaw, we are looking for a professional to take on the new role of:Chief AccountantPlace of work: Warsaw (Włochy)We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to oversee general accounting and reporting operations, both in terms of statutory and internal requirements. The candidate will report directly to the company’s management in Poland and the CFO at the company’s head office (USA).Responsibilities:– Managing the full accounting of small sales organization (except for payroll)
– Preparing monthly financial reports for the company and headquarters
– Analyzing and controlling financial compliance with local and international regulations
– Overseeing the accuracy and timeliness of tax settlements, preparation of tax declarations, e.g. CIT, PIT, VAT
– Preparation of annual financial statement
– Preparation of reports and required by the Law on Public Statistics or/and other state institutions
– Communicating and cooperating with external institutions (Tax Office, Central Statistical Office, National Bank of Poland)
– Supervision of cash flow
– Company’s budget co-preparation
– Co-preparation and co-control of execution of the company’s budget
– Participating in financial standards setting and in forecast process
– Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
– Liaise with the CFO at head office (USA) to streamline financial proceduresRequirements:– University education in finance, accounting, or related fields
– A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Chief Accountant or Senior Accountant
– Understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and IFRS knowledge would be
considered as an asset
– Experience working in an international environment
– Proficiency in general accounting
– Advanced English proficiency (B2)
– Proficiency in using MS Office Excel programs (including Vlookups and pivot tables)
– Hands on experience and knowledge of ERP systems, ideally JD Edwards
– Excellent analytical and organizational skills
