A premier airport hotel in Amsterdam is looking for an experienced Chief Engineer to lead the engineering and maintenance team. This role is perfect for a hands-on leader with strong technical expertise and a passion for delivering exceptional service in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

Key Responsibilities:

* Oversee all engineering and maintenance operations within the hotel.
* Ensure compliance with safety regulations and environmental standards.
* Manage and develop a team of engineers and technicians.
* Coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance to minimize downtime.
* Work closely with the operations and management teams to enhance guest experiences.
* Manage budgets and cost control for maintenance and energy consumption.
* Lead renovation and technical upgrade projects as required.
* Maintain relationships with contractors, suppliers, and regulatory authorities .

What We’re Looking For:

* Proven experience in an engineering leadership role within the hotel industry .
* Strong knowledge of building systems, HVAC, electrical, and plumbing .
* Understanding of fire and life safety standards .
* Experience managing maintenance budgets and projects .
* Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and train a team .
* Ability to work under pressure and solve technical challenges efficiently.
* Strong communication skills in English (Dutch is a plus).
