ATU is seeking expressions of interest from ATU staff for this role.Candidates must be employed by ATU both on the closing date and at the time of appointment.The Civil Engineering Apprenticeship programme commenced in ATU Sligo in 2023/24 academic year. This is an industry consortium lead apprenticeship programme at both Level 6 and 7. This programme is now being extended and will be delivered at the ATU Galway campus, in 2024/25 academic year.The Civil Engineering Apprenticeship Programme Coordinator will lead in the coordination, development and delivery of a consortium lead Level 6 and 7 programmes, using industry standard practices and student-centred programme delivery and assessment.The role of the Civil Engineering Apprenticeship Programme Coordinator will require the development of “best practice” pedagogic methods that will engage and enhance the apprenticeship students’ learning. The teaching emphasis is on the development of relevant skills using industry standard practices and student-centred learning via a consortium lead apprenticeship model.A significant part of the duties of the Civil Engineering Apprenticeship Programme Coordinator will involve research. It is expected that the successful candidate will bring a strong interest and capacity for research. The Civil Engineering Apprenticeship Programme Coordinator will be expected to participate in the strengthening the existing research teams and the development of new teams.Closing Date: 12 noon on Thursday, 16th May 2024
