The RoleAn opportunity has arisen for an experienced engineer to join an expanding team in Bristol as the Civils Lead. This is a great opportunity to join the business help guide and shape the Civil Engineering department. The position will suit an ambitious Senior or Principal looking to take the step into a more managerial role.ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities will include:

• Liaising concisely with clients, local authorities, and other stakeholders, attending client meetings and site visits
• Managing the production of technical project details and reports in line with standard requirements, including drawings and calculations as applicable. Delegating as appropriate.
• Mentoring and nurturing your team of civil engineers and technicians
• Maintain exacting standards across all outputs ensuring accuracy and appropriate presentation
• Getting involved and hands-on in technical design as required

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or Masters in Structural or Civil Engineering
• 6+ years of industry/sector experience preferable
• Chartered or nearing chartership
• Strong knowledge of civil engineering and development infrastructure
• Be sectional agreement conversant (S38 S278 etc.)
• Experience in Civils3D, AutoCAD, MicroDrainage, Autotrack, and/or Causeway etc
• Excellent report writing and communication skills
• Be based in Bristol or willing to commute
