The Staff Services Manager I (SSM I) Climate Change Business Operations Unit Manager position is an opportunity to lead the administrative and operations activities and staff essential to supporting public health policy and planning programs to address the greatest health challenge of the 21st Century: climate change. The Staff Services Manager I (SSM I) serves as manager of the Climate Change Business Operations Unit overseeing a team of professional and technical staff by prioritizing and monitoring workload to ensure compliance and timely submission of business activities. The SSM I performs and supervises business services functions including, but not limited to budgeting, human resources, contracting and procurement, reporting, file management, compliance with Americans with Disabilities Act requirements, rapid response requests known as “drills”, and facility management, that are essential to achieving the Branch’s climate change and health equity policy and program planning goals.

The position is a hybrid telework position. Up to 5% travel may be required for the position, including occasional travel to Sacramento or the San Francisco Bay Area.
