Exciting Career Opportunity!Clinical Nurse Manager II – Hospital Access Unit (MAU)Full-time (37.5 hours per week) | Permanent |Candidate Criteria:Qualifications· Registered nurse on the active Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland· Confirm annual registration with NMBI· Post Graduate Course or relevant educational course (Desirable)· Healthcare Management Qualification (Desirable)Experience· Must have 5 years post registration experience in an acute hospital setting.· With at least two of those years being within the specialty or related area.· Have the clinical, managerial, and administrative capacity to properly discharge the functions of the role.· Experience with an Electronic Health Record (Desirable)· Preceptorship experience (Desirable)The Purpose of This Role:The CNMII will act as a key clinical leader, supporting the development and implementation of care pathways, patient assessments, and interventions for individuals presenting with medical conditions. They will contribute to patient flow, manage resources effectively and support the strategic goals of the hospital while ensuring the unit runs smoothly and efficiently.Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the nursing team within the Hospital Access Unit, ensuring high standards of care.
• Ensure the smooth and efficient day-to-day operations of the Hospital Access Unit.
• Oversee the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care within the Hospital Access Unit.
• Managing staffing levels, fostering staff development, and promoting practice development initiatives to enhance the skills and capabilities of the nursing team.
• Be responsible for the co-ordination, assessment, planning, implementation, and review of care for patients according to BSHS standards.
• Maintain compliance with safety protocols, policies, and best practices in patient care.
• Work closely with the multidisciplinary team to enhance patient outcomes and experience.
