Job Description – Principal Consultant (CMC – Small Molecules)

We’re hiring a Principal Consultant – CMC (Small Molecules) to join a growing international consultancy. In this hybrid role (Netherlands, UK, US, or Australia), you’ll take a lead role in shaping regulatory and development strategies for small molecule drug products across global markets.

You’ll guide clients through every stage of drug development-from process design and scale-up to regulatory submissions and lifecycle management. You’ll also mentor internal teams and collaborate with global experts to deliver high-quality technical solutions.

This is an exciting opportunity to work across multiple projects, support innovation for pharma and biotech clients, and grow within a supportive, fast-scaling company of ~50 professionals. You’ll be supported by admin, project management, and business development teams, allowing you to focus on the science, write papers, and stay close to innovation.

What You Bring:

10+ years of CMC regulatory experience with small molecules

PhD or MSc in a relevant scientific discipline
*

Deep knowledge of global regulatory frameworks (FDA, EMA, ICH) and GMP
*

Strong understanding of dosage forms and formulation development
*

Skilled in technical authorship, regulatory negotiation, and strategic planning
*

Consultancy experience and a collaborative, scientific mindset
*

Leadership skills and a desire to mentor and inspire
