About the RoleWe are looking for a highly analytical and commercially minded Commercial Analyst to support our growth strategy. This role is essential in acquiring and retaining profitable sites, ensuring our commercial appraisal processes remain robust, and providing strategic insights that drive profitability.Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and enhance financial models and commercial appraisal templates to support site acquisitions.
• Regularly review model assumptions, working closely with Operations & Compliance and Acquisitions teams to ensure accuracy.
• Create and improve reports and dashboards to monitor financial and operational performance, leveraging tools like Power BI.
• Provide analysis and interpretation of key trading information to inform commercial activity and acquisition strategy.
• Present financial results to the New Sites team and investigate any queries.
• Support site acquisitions, rent reviews, closures, and tariff reviews with ad-hoc reporting and analysis.
• Advise on and calculate commission payments for the New Sites team.
• Collaborate with the Finance department to improve financial reporting accuracy.
• Continuously enhance reporting, templates, and processes to improve efficiency and decision-making.

What We’re Looking For

• Education: Degree in a numerate or business-related discipline or relevant experience in a similar role.
• Experience: At least 1 year of relevant experience in financial modelling, reporting, and analysis.
• Skills:

• Strong numerical and analytical ability with experience in financial modelling and data interpretation.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and a solid understanding of Profit & Loss statements.
• Experience with SQL, TM1, Oracle, and Power BI (or similar BI tools); knowledge of DAX/Power Pivot or M is preferred.
• Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and present insights to stakeholders.
