For more information, visit .IntroductionAs Commodity Manager you are in a strategic procurement role that is critical to ensure a competitive supply of equipment, parts and services to the GlobalFoundries Dresden operations. This role works closely with key stakeholders in the operations department to define requirements and with the broader Global Supply Management Team to fully leverage the supply base and global best practices from both a commercial and technical standpoint. It will be focused on manufacturing equipment.Your JobCoordinate tasks w/i the Equipment commodity team and with the various Fab stakeholders (Finance, Planner, Cost Driver)Define sourcing strategy(s) for assigned commodity in alignment with the objectives of the Global Supply Management organization and the respective global Commodity HeadAct as the primary supplier interface to enable supplier development and collaborationPlan and conduct local commercial negotiations and support global negotiations as requiredActively utilize strategic tools, processes & systems to perform sourcing and analytical/reporting tasks (Power BI, Cleansheeting, Negotiation Planners, etc).Act as the primary procurement point of contact in the defined commodity for stakeholders and coordinate the procurement activities on new manufacturing equipmentSupport site specific supply issues working closely with Operations, Central Planning, Material Management, Quality, and other key internal stakeholdersIdentify continuous improvement opportunities, alternative sourcing strategies, global price trends, and communicate progress / achievements to realize maximum value and organizational objectivesMonitor the local and global market to identify potential new suppliers, product derivatives, and product innovationsAnalyze, manage, and control contractual agreements and prepare renegotiations to achieve commercial and technical objectivesPerform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programsRequired Qualifications:Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Science, Business Administration and/or relevant field of studyMinimum of 2 years relevant work experience in an industrial environmentConversation level fluency in EnglishGood command of English & German Language – written & verbalAbility and willingness to travel internationally including Singapore and USA from time to timePreferred Qualifications:Master’s Degree in Business, Science or Engineering or related field studyKnowledge of materials and/or their application in semiconductor manufacturing, quality requirements and related supply baseProficiency in sourcing related skills including sourcing strategy development and execution, contract management and supplier performance managementAbility to lead projects and cross-functional teamsExceptional interpersonal skills with ability to motivate and influence stakeholders and team members.Experience in a semiconductor environment or related industryWe OfferThe position is open-ended and to be filled as soon as possible.Attractive compensation components:13th month salary, bonus payments, assistance with relocation to Dresden.Flexible working time arrangements:Family friendly part-time models, trust flextime, salary conversion into free timeDiverse opportunities for further development:Career stages for every job, internal qualification offers, promotion of external educational qualificationsFocus on your health:On-site gym and beach volleyball court, bike leasing, subsidized employee restaurantCorporate culture:Cooperation at eye level – everyone is on first name terms with us, budget for individual team events, social commitment via GlobalGivesDiversity is part of our corporate DNA.
