Job Description
King’s College London is one of the world’s top universities. With an ambitious vision, effective communications with key audiences, including with our staff and students, is crucial.
We’re seeking a Communications Officer to join us in the Faculty of Arts & Humanities.
As part of a growing communications team within the faculty, you will work with colleagues to develop great stories to inform and engage with our student community within the Faculty and its departments.
You will tell these stories through digital and social media, compelling campaigns, event support and activities to promote a fully supported and engaged student body.
Along with this, you will be acting as a point of counsel and advice for communications for staff, promoting academic research and delivering student news.
This is a dynamic and varied position – playing a key role in supporting a community of students to get the best out of their time at King’s.
The job would suit someone who has an excellent, demonstrable eye for a story, savvy with social media, and has a proven track record of reaching audiences in a variety of ways – through written and multimedia, including video, web features and physical media.
A significant interest in the power of arts and humanities in society is a must, along with the ability to turn your hand to digital, social media and design elements.
Given the range of areas covered by the role, and the need to work with a variety of stakeholders, the successful candidate will need to be comfortable working on campus (on the Strand, London) regularly in term-time and willing to pitch in with a variety of tasks when needed.
The posts will be offered on an a permanent, full-time basis.
