responsibilities

• As a site manager, you will be responsible for managing all the activities at the Berneau compressor station, as well as ensuring that resources and employees are deployed as effectively as possible and protecting the safety of staff, the surrounding area and the environment
• You will lead your employees and will motivate and coach them and provide them with information
• You will be responsible for scheduling maintenance and unavailabilities and for drawing up and monitoring the site’s budget
• You will come up with ways to improve business operations and will manage the application and implementation of changes to existing facilities
• You address potential installation failures, whether mechanical, electrical, or IT-related. These interventions may also take place during an on-call duty system
• You will report to the Head of Compression Installations
• You will act as the point of contact for local public services (including the municipal council, the fire brigade and inspection services) as far as day-to-day operational activities are concerned

About
you

• You hold a Master’s degree in industrial sciences (industrial engineering) or civil engineer
• You have between 5 to 10 years’ relevant experience in managing a technical facility
• Managing people and assuming some level of responsibility in the company come naturally to you. Related to this, communication is also one of your strengths
• You have a strong knowledge of mechanical systems (compressors, etc.), electrical systems (HV-LV, instrumentation, PLC), as well as process computing
• You focus on quality and safety in your work
• In addition to French, you are fluent in English. Dutch is a plus

Additionally, this role requires:

• You live less than 30 minutes away from our Berneau compressor station or are willing to move that close
• You have no problem working within an on-call system
