Role – Electrical Design and Controls Engineer
Location – Liverpool
Type – Permanent (Hybrid working available)
Salary – Circa £50,000 – £60,000 depending on experience

A UK based manufacturing company are looking for an Electrical Design Engineer to join their team on a permanent basis.

The Electrical DEsign and Controls Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:

– Degree, HND or an equivalent Electrical engineering or Automation qualification
– Minimum 3 years’ experience working with CAD for electrical design
– Good PLC knowledge would be desirable too – ideally Siemens (S7, TIA Portal) but others will be considered such as Allen Bradley
– Panel design experience ideally working with EPlan 8 or AutoCAD
– Strong communication skills
– Ability to work alone or as part of a team

The Electrical Design and Controls Engineer role will involve:

– Designing & developing control systems for manufacturing equipment
– Developing electrical designs using Eplan software 
– Ensure work complies with industry standards such as ATEX
– Liaising with customers & other departments to ensure requirements are being met
– Ensuring health & safety regulations are being adhered to
