Corporate Communications Officer (Sick, Maternity and Lactation Leave Cover) (MGMT 2025-05)The Institute of Chemical Research of Catalonia (ICIQ) is seeking a Corporate Communications Officer to cover a sick and maternity leave.ICIQ is committed to performing excellent research at the frontier of knowledge in the broad area of chemistry (Catalysis, Artificial Photosynthesis, Activation of Small Molecules, Photovoltaics, Functional Molecular Assemblies and Chemical Biology, from either theoretical or experimental perspectives). The institute also aims at training the future generation of scientists by offering high-quality educational programmes to master, PhD students and postdoctoral researchers (Full details on ).Our mission is to lead, from the vantage point of molecular science, cross-strategies for solving major social and economic challenges, such as climate change and sustainable supply of energetic and raw materials, thereby contributing to the establishment of a knowledge-based economy and improving citizens’ quality of life in our influence area.Responsabilities:

• Design and implement multi-channel communication strategies, adapted to different audiences, events and programmes, guaranteeing the presence of the ICIQ at national and international level.
• Coordinate internal and external communication actions, including announcements, dissemination campaigns and newsletters, to support the Institute’s activities.
• Manage the development and maintenance of the Alumni website, intranet and page, ensuring that everything is aligned with the Institute’s global communication strategy.
• Develop and execute a strategic content plan for social networks, maintaining an active, relevant and attractive presence. Create multimedia content (videos, images and other materials).
• Establish and maintain relationships with media and journalists: coordinate interviews, write press releases and manage media monitoring (clipping) to ensure positive and continuous coverage.
• Create and coordinate the production of institutional materials such as the annual activity report, corporate presentations, brochures, and other informative materials for external and internal communications.
• Provide support in the drafting of proposals to obtain financial support for strategic projects and communication activities.
• Participate in the organization and communication support of institutional and internal events, ensuring adequate coverage before, during and after each activity.

Requirements:

• Training in communication, marketing or related disciplines.
• Previous experience of at least 4-6 years in a corporate communication, strategic communication or public relations role.
• Excellent writing skills and ability to adapt the tone of communication according to the audience and channel. Proficiency in Catalan, Spanish and English is required.
• Demonstrable experience in managing digital communication projects and knowledge of tools such as WordPress, MailChimp and other similar tools.
• Knowledge of brand strategy and ability to apply corporate storytelling.
• Knowledge of SEO, digital analytics and graphic design tools such as Canva or Adobe Creative Suite will be valued.

• Coordinar les accions de comunicació interna i externa, incloent anuncis, campanyes de difusió i newsletters, per donar suport a les activitats de l’Institut.
• Gestionar el desenvolupament i manteniment del lloc web, la intranet i la pàgina de l’Alumni, assegurant-se que tot estigui alineat amb l’estratègia comunicativa global de l’Institut.
• Desenvolupar i executar un pla de continguts estratègic per a xarxes socials, mantenint una presència activa, rellevant i atractiva. Crear continguts multimèdia (vídeos, imatges i altres materials).
• Establir i mantenir relacions amb mitjans de comunicació i periodistes: coordinar entrevistes, redactar notes de premsa i gestionar el seguiment mediàtic (clipping) per garantir una cobertura positiva i continuada.
• Crear i coordinar la producció de materials institucionals com la memòria anual d’activitats, presentacions corporatives, brochures, i altres materials informatius per a comunicacions externes i internes.
• Donar suport en la redacció de propostes per obtenir suport financer per a projectes estratègics i activitats de comunicació.
• Participar en l’organització i suport comunicatiu d’esdeveniments institucionals i interns, garantint una cobertura adequada abans, durant i després de cada activitat.

Perfil i requisits

• Formació en comunicació, màrqueting o disciplines afins.
• Experiència prèvia d’almenys 4-6 anys en un rol de comunicació corporativa, comunicació estratègica o relacions públiques.
• Excel·lents habilitats de redacció i capacitat per adaptar el to de la comunicació segons l’audiència i el canal. Es requereix el domini de català, castellà i anglès.
• Experiència demostrable en la gestió de projectes de comunicació digital i coneixements d’eines com WordPress, MailChimp i altres similars.
• Coneixements en estratègia de marca i capacitat per aplicar storytelling corporatiu.
• Es valoraran coneixements de SEO, analítica digital i eines de disseny gràfic com Canva o Adobe Creative Suite.
