You will play a pivotal role in driving forward all areas across the Corporate Finance team, including:– Leading the execution of M&A, bids, investment appraisals, and project financing transactions.– Building financial models to support assessment of development assets, M&A, bids, and project financings.– Manage all key workstreams, including process co-ordination, valuations, modelling, and stakeholder management, ensuring investments are supported with rigour, discipline, and independent oversight.– Providing transaction management as well as training to junior members of the team.– Preparation and presentation of Executive Committees / Board papers.What do I need?To be considered for this role, we would love you to have:– Prior experience in a corporate finance role including negotiating, structuring, valuations, due diligence, process management.– Relevant accounting or corporate finance qualification typically with solid experience in a related role.– Strong commercial and financial acumen.– Highly analytical and experienced problem solver with a keen attention to detail.– Confident communicator who can simplify complex messages and provide high quality work on a timely and consistent basis.About our BusinessOur SSE Finance function has a key part to play in fulfilling SSE’s obligations as a UK-listed company, providing expertise and services that can be shared across the SSE Group, and working in partnership with all businesses to provide services tailored to their specific needs.
