Join a leading Private Healthcare Organisation renowned for providing exceptional patient care and medical services. They are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Credit Controller with expertise in private healthcare and/or hospital finance to join their dynamic team.Role Overview:
The Credit Controller will be responsible for managing and recovering outstanding debts, ensuring timely payments, and maintaining positive relationships with patients, insurers, and internal stakeholders. This is a crucial role that supports the financial health of the organisation while upholding the highest standards of customer service and compliance.Key Responsibilities:Manage and monitor the accounts receivable ledger, ensuring timely collection of outstanding debtsLiaise with patients, private medical insurers, and corporate clients to resolve billing and payment queriesImplement and maintain effective credit control procedures to reduce aged debtInvestigate and resolve discrepancies in invoices and paymentsChase overdue accounts via phone, email, and written communication professionally and efficientlyMaintain accurate records of all credit control activities and report on outstanding debtsWork closely with internal teams, including finance, billing, and customer service, to facilitate smooth payment processesAdhere to company policies and regulatory requirements regarding patient confidentiality and data protectionAssist in reconciling accounts and preparing financial reports as requiredIdentify opportunities for process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce outstanding debtKey Requirements:Previous experience as a Credit Controller, within the private healthcare or hospital sectorStrong understanding of medical billing processes, private medical insurance, and self-pay patient accounts * Experience chasing debt from medical insurance companiesExcellent communication and negotiation skills with the ability to handle sensitive financial discussions professionallyAbility to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environmentStrong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage a workload efficientlyKnowledge of relevant regulations, including GDPR and healthcare financial complianceBenefits of the Role:Competitive hourly rate of £20 per hour. * Opportunity for hybrid workingOpportunity to work within a prestigious private healthcare organisationCollaborative and supportive working environment * Opportunity to join a fast growing organisation with a reputable name and great reputationIf you have a strong background in credit control and a keen understanding of private healthcare finance, we would love to hear from you.
