Accommodation Services provide a home to over 5600 students living within our portfolio and in nominated properties.  You will help deliver a high quality service within a customer-focused environment which operates 24/7/365.  

Our dedicated team provide support and signposting on a wide variety of emotional and practical issues, from issues living with others, behaviour management, homesickness, general wellbeing, engagement with meaningful social activity and connecting students to the services offered by the wider University. 

In everything we do, we are driven by a culture of continuous improvement, implementing enhancements to our service delivery to enable an exceptional staff and student experience.

You’ll join a team who provide administrative and clerical service with specific functions within residential lettings, including the allocation and operation of University managed Accommodation, giving advice on financial and contractual matters. 

Where is this role based?

This post is predominantly based at Frenchay, however you may need to travel to other campuses and nominated accommodation buildings as required.

The post is based at our lively Frenchay campus where we have excellent transport links ; we are within walking distance of two train stations , our bus terminus connects us to the local bus and metrobus network and we also have a range of cycling and changing facilities.

We have two Customer Relations Assistant roles available:

  • 1 permanent, part time role, working 22 hours per week (Weds/Thurs 08.30 – 16.30 and Fri 11.00 – 19.00)
  • 1 full-time, fixed term role until 01 December 2023 or the earlier return of the substantive post holder, working 37 hours per week.

 You can specify your preferred role in your application. 

We are hoping to hold interviews on 13 April 2023. 

You’ll need to be available to work of standard office hours with a minimum of one evening during the week until 19:00.

Some weekend and evening work will be required during the main allocation period and student arrival times, including Clearing, Welcome Weekend and Marketing Events (Open Days and Applicant days).  Prior notice will be given.
