What you’ll be doing:
Your role is required to drive data architecture best practice through the implementation of the “Data Trust” multi-year transformation programme within the Data Governance office of LSEG’s Data & Analytics (D&A) division. This role will run the Data Governance Authority that will review data governance policy conformance, identify policy deficits, supervise remediation and embed Data Architecture standard methodology within business as usual (BAU) processes.
You’ll work with the Head of Data Trust Controls to implement data policy within the Data & Analytics division, ensuring alignment to Data Architecture and Data Policy standards.
You will lead the Data Governance Authority to ensure compliance across D&A for BAU implementation of Data Trust controls.
You’ll be helping to driving forward overall Data Governance strategy and objectives in support of our multi-year Data Trust Programme of work.
This will involve collaborating closely with a wide range of partners, demonstrating strong communication and technical skills to be successful.
The partners you’ll collaborate with will include Data Owners, Data Stewards, Data Governance Leads, Architecture leads, Technology and Central Policy teams. Partnering to ensure that associated data processes and products conform to D&A Data Architecture and policy standards.
You will initiate and manage the Data Governance Authority to be the sole D&A forum for the adherence to data and architecture standards, to ensure policy deficits are kept to an absolute minimum.
Experience of business process modelling (BPM) is essential
Experience in information and data modelling, with strong awareness of best practices is essential
Experience of data governance / lineage is essential
Experience and energy to drive the Data Governance control environment’s effectiveness will be crucial
Communication skills and a highly collaborative nature / ability to work across teams necessary
Strong problem solving skills and ability to work at a detailed level but also to summarise complex situations for senior management also required
Awareness of data architecture, third party dependencies and regulatory experience is desirable
