Are you passionate about handling and curating many different data types from various sources collected in the frame of an environmental and acoustic monitoring program in a large wetland restoration project in Western Zealand, Denmark?SustainScapes – Center for Sustainable Landscapes under Global Change at Department of Biology at Aarhus University is looking for data scientists (AC-TAP) that support and coordinate the data acquisition, handling, curation and analyses as well as the establishment and maintenance of the monitoring infrastructure. Positions will be filed 1st of October or as soon as possible thereafter. Both positions are 4 years and 5 months full-time positions, with the possibility to work 30 hours a week.Expected start date and duration of employment 4 years and 5 months full-time positions per 1. October 2025 or as soon as possible thereafter.Job description The Wetland Restoration Project in Western Zealand, Denmark, aims to set up a comprehensive monitoring infrastructure for identifying and studying environmental transitions in relation to hydrological modifications and land-use changes.As a part of the wetland restoration project and SustainScapes ( ) you will work in a dynamic and international environment at the interface between biodiversity and agroecological research. You will be supporting the center’s research team comprising people from both, the Department of Biology and the Department of Agroecology at Aarhus University, and collaborators at Copenhagen University.We are looking for two data/research scientists with complementary skills, and which complement the existing data and research support team at the center for Sustainable Landscapes under Global Change.The tasks will encompass:

The Department of Biology The Department of Biology ( ) provides a framework for research and teaching in all major biological subdisciplines. The department is especially known for its research contribution in biodiversity, global change and conservation biology, aquatic biology and ecology, arctic environment and ecosystems, genetics and evolution, microbiology and zoophysiology. The department currently encompasses approximately 200 academic and technical staff and 45 PhD students. Nearly 500 students follow the BSc and MSc programs offered by the institute.The department offers a vibrant and informal research environment with a long-standing tradition of collaboration with international university partners.
