Your responsibilities:
- Monitor database performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high availability.
- Manage database backups, restoration, and disaster recovery processes.
- Implement security measures to safeguard sensitive data, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations (GDPR, HIPAA, etc.).
- Optimize and tune database performance, including queries, indexes, and storage.
- Design and implement database schemas, tables, and procedures to support business applications.
- Install, configure, and maintain database systems (for example : SQL Server, MySQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL).
- Develop and maintain database documentation.
- Perform database migrations, upgrades, and patches with minimal downtime.
- Manage database access and user permissions.
Requirements:
- 2+ years of experience as a Database Administrator, with a focus on Database Technology, e.g., MySQL, SQL Server, Oracle].
- Fluent English and French languages (at least B2)
- Strong knowledge of database systems (for example : MSQL, MariaDB, DB2 (On linux and AIX), Oracle (on IBM AIX), MySQL, MongoDB, Postgres).
- Proficiency in writing and optimizing SQL queries, stored procedures, and triggers.
- Hands-on experience with database monitoring and performance tools.
- Understanding of data security, encryption, and regulatory compliance.
- Knowledge of database design principles and normalization.
- Experience with automation and scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) preferred.
