Applications are invited for the post of Deputy Director of International Student Recruitment in the Marketing and Communications Department

Royal Holloway is looking to appoint a Deputy Director of International Student Recruitment who will have overall operational, financial and team management responsibility for Royal Holloway’s global recruitment activities, including the university’s relationships with education providers, agents and influencers, in turn promoting the university’s reputation for world class research, teaching excellence and a high-quality student experience.

This is a new role and the successful applicant will lead and develop a team of student recruitment professionals in the planning, delivery and evaluation of targeted in-market recruitment events, digital and above the line campaigns, and activities including education fairs; school engagement and agent/stakeholder relationship management. The role holder will ensure that all international recruitment activity supports delivery of the university’s strategic plan and are aligned with marketing and student recruitment objectives.

The successful applicant will be responsible for the spend, management and return on investment of a significant marketing budget and be responsible for the delivery of the application numbers from international territories.

Candidates should have substantial marketing or student recruitment experience and an understanding of a range of international markets along with experience in setting and meeting both institutional and team strategic objectives; alongside managing budgets and resources to deliver maximum value for money. Candidates should also be able to demonstrate knowledge of the issues and trends facing the Higher Education sector in the UK in relation to international student recruitment. 

Candidates should have strong communications skills and demonstrate integrity, confidentiality and flexibility.
