This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and driven individual to join the Emerging Pathogens team under the direction of Professor Teresa Lambe. The postholder will also be part of the Oxford Vaccine Group which is a multi-disciplinary team working across all aspects of vaccine research – this group led the rapid clinical development of vaccines against COVID-19 in the pandemic.
The Emerging Pathogens team are working on a number of vaccine development programmes, developing and testing vaccines against viral hemorrhagic fevers including Ebolavirus, Crimean Congo Hemorrhagic Fever, and Junín virus. The successful candidate will coordinate activities across these programmes, whilst working with the wider Oxford Vaccine Group. The postholder will act as the primary point of contact for funders including CEPI, and be responsible for project, budget and resource planning, along with coordinating third party agreements and supporting financial reporting activities.
You will be educated to undergraduate level at a minimum with a scientific degree and have an excellent track record of successfully managing and delivering complex scientific research projects. The successful candidate will line manage staff as appropriate and provide training to junior team members and staff.
This position is offered full-time on a fixed-term contract initially for three years with the possibility to extend provided further external funding is available.
This role meets the criteria for a UK Skilled Worker visa.
