AboutWe are looking for a Site Reliability Engineer II to work alongside the Engineering team to build and improve tools to deploy, scale, secure, monitor and diagnose Flipp’s systems in order to guarantee business continuity and daily operations of the engineering teams. You will participate in on-call and daily-support rotations in order to respond to infrastructure-level support requests and emergencies.Your missionProduction EngineeringBuild and improve our tools for deploying, monitoring and managing our systemsPartner with product development teams in order to provide domain expertise around infrastructure design, security and observabilityIdentify opportunities of improvements and automation in order to turn them into self-serve features in existing and/or new platforms.Operational excellenceParticipate in periodic on-call rotation with the rest of the SRE team to support and maintain the high availability of our systems and ensure Flipp is a world-class platformParticipate in periodical concierge rotation to provide operational support for engineering team members through a kanban-managed stream of requests.Knowledge sharingBuild and maintain documentation and playbooks for the tools built or modifiedShare knowledge and experience with other SREs on the team and develop a set of best practices to be used throughout the engineering organization through presentations and lunch and learn workshops.External CommunicationCommunicate with vendor’s engineering teams during the integration with or diagnostics of a 3rd party service/partnersThis is what you bring along2 years of experience with infrastructure automation on AWS or other cloud providers2 years of Linux systems administration experienceProficient in at least one of the following languages (Ruby, Python, Perl)A knack for diagnosing and troubleshooting problemsStrong sense of empathy towards struggles of other team members in the organizationHigh growth expectations for yourself and your team, and a willingness to push yourself and your team to achieve themAWS Certified Solutions Architect or equivalent designationBenefits & Perks
