The incumbent in this role will play a critical part in developing a Centre of Excellence responsible for delivering shared solutions for infrastructure operations across our global estate. To fill this role successfully, the candidate will need foundational knowledge and genuine interest in cloud technologies, DevOps, and infrastructure automation, alongside basic experience with scripting and programming.About the RoleWe are seeking a passionate, eager-to-learn DevOps System Engineer interested in automation, infrastructure provisioning, and cloud hosting. Ideal candidates will have a basic hands-on experience and a strong desire to grow in the DevOps area. You will join our distributed international team (across India, the UK, Denmark, and the Netherlands), supporting and enhancing hosting capabilities, automating operational tasks, improving performance, ensuring reliability, and leveraging cloud services.Responsibilities

• Configure, deploy, monitor, and support applications hosted primarily in AWS environments.
• Manage and enhance CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions in collaboration with Development, QA, and other teams.
• Write and maintain basic automation scripts using Python or Bash.
• Implement infrastructure automation and provisioning with Terraform and Terragrunt.
• Deploy applications and manage Kubernetes clusters using Helm and Argo CD.
• Monitor application and infrastructure health using New Relic.
• Actively participate in Agile/Scrum meetings (stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives) and team task estimations.
• Collaborate closely with Development, QA, and other internal stakeholders to assist, resolve, or route infrastructure-related inquiries and issues.
• Assist in troubleshooting and resolving infrastructure and operational issues proactively.

Requirements (Must-Have)

• Basic practical experience with Docker and Kubernetes; ability to deploy and manage simple applications.
• Fundamental understanding of infrastructure provisioning using Terraform (knowledge of Terragrunt is a plus).
• Practical experience or understanding of CI/CD pipeline management with GitHub Actions.
• Ability to write basic scripts in Python or Bash for automation tasks.
• Basic proficiency with Linux and comfortable working with command-line interfaces.
• Strong communication skills, ability to collaborate effectively within a multicultural and distributed team.
• Fluent in English (spoken and written).

Nice-to-Have

• Prior experience or basic understanding of Azure or Alibaba Cloud.
• Exposure to monitoring tools (e.g., New Relic).
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban).
