Would you like to join a pioneering organisation that is taking practical action for nature
and people by creating woodmeadows and inspiring others to plant and look after these vibrant
green spaces? Will you enjoy working in a small, dynamic team and with partner organisations to
boost the profile of Woodmeadow Trust, and make our programmes and projects successful through
effective digital communication and well-planned events?

The Digital Communications and Events Manager is an exciting new and varied role. It will
entail working with team members and partner organisations as well as inspiring UK Woodmeadow
Network members. You will create compelling digital content across a variety of mediums from
blogs, case studies and e-newsletters to engage and attract supporters, and ensure our website
showcases the best of what we do and helps us achieve our charitable objectives.

You’ll also manage the delivery of a successful events and activities programme to a wide
variety of audiences (children, families, individuals, businesses, farmers) on subjects
which promote ecology and biodiversity, whilst maximising financial support to the Trust.

We’re looking for an energetic, outgoing, enthusiastic individual who has a keen interest in
ecology and UK wildlife, and who can bring fresh thinking to our digital communications. You
will be an excellent communicator, flexible, highly organised and have a good attention to
detail, work well independently and enjoy a variety of tasks and challenges.

You will enjoy working collaboratively, supporting colleagues’ work by producing effective
digital communications and events.

You will have experience of recruiting and managing volunteers to help deliver events. You will
also have experience of fundraising and be able to demonstrate an appreciation of what makes a
successful fundraising event.

Your place of work will be Three Hagges Woodmeadow but there is flexibility for work to be
carried out at home as well as in our Education and Volunteer Cabin at Three Hagges Woodmeadow.
You will generally work 16 hours a week, although flexibility will be required as our events
and activities are seasonal. Events will mainly take place at Three Hagges Woodmeadow, Escrick,
near York. There maybe occasions when events will take place in other venues across Yorkshire.

If you have good writing skills and would relish the challenge of raising brand awareness there
is scope to develop the role with further hours associated.

Woodmeadow Trust is an innovative charity taking practical action for nature and people by
creating woodmeadows and inspiring others to plant and look after these exceptional habitats.

Three Hagges Woodmeadow, near York. Our vision is woodmeadows sustaining and connecting nature
throughout our landscapes and communities. Our purpose is inspiring dynamic and productive

using a range of formats and media. You will have skills and experience in organising and
implementing innovative events including fundraising events and have an interest in ecology and
UK wildlife.
