Role Overview:The Health and Protection Product Director plays a pivotal role in the development, management, and growth of health and protection insurance products within the company. This position reports to the Head of Life & Health and is responsible for overseeing the strategic direction and performance of the health and protection product portfolio.Key Responsibilities:

• Product Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive product strategy for health and protection insurance lines that align with the company’s goals and objectives.
• Product Development: Lead the design and development of new health and protection insurance products based on market research, customer needs, and regulatory requirements.
• Product Management: Oversee the entire product lifecycle, including pricing, underwriting, and policy administration, to ensure product profitability and compliance.
• Market Analysis: Monitor industry trends, competitor offerings, and regulatory changes to make informed decisions on product enhancements and adjustments.
• Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, underwriting, actuarial, and sales, to ensure successful product launches and ongoing support.
• Financial Management: Manage the financial performance of the product portfolio, including setting pricing strategies, achieving revenue targets, and controlling expenses.
• Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure products comply with all relevant laws and regulations, and mitigate potential risks associated with the products.
• Customer Insights: Utilize customer feedback and market research to drive product improvements and enhance the customer experience.
• Performance Analysis: Regularly analyze product performance, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and recommend necessary adjustments.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, insurance, or a related field (Master’s degree is a plus).
• Extensive experience in the insurance industry, particularly in health and protection product management.
• Strong understanding of underwriting, pricing, and actuarial principles.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Strategic thinking and the ability to translate strategies into actionable plans.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Regulatory and compliance knowledge in the insurance sector.
• Data analysis and driving insights skills.
