Role profile:

The Director, Business People Partner for LCH Ltd (BPP) is a highly matrixed role that requires you to work in a cohesive and collaborative manner with your business leadership team as well as the broader People function to drive the strategic people agenda. 

Based in Paris, the role will primarily partner with the LCH SA organisation and will also support by working across the clearing house in London and its leadership team. Together both clearing houses across London and Paris constitute about 900 colleagues globally. LCH SA and LCH Ltd make up LCH Group, which in turn is part of the wider Markets division of LSEG.

The BPP will be responsible for providing strategic consultancy and driving a truly interconnected people agenda that is key to the achievement of the operational, strategic and financial performance of the business. The BPP will work with colleagues across the globe to realise the objectives of the LCH business.

The role will be based in Paris and will report to the Head of People Partnering for LCH Group and will matrix to the CEO LCH SA. This role will sit on the LCH SA leadership team. The role will also serve as accountable officer to the LCH SA Board for all people related matters, and will sit on the remuneration committee.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:

  • Drives the people strategy for the LCH SA and LCH Group more widely, ensuring alignment with group strategic objectives, the long-term strategic vision of the organisation and participates as an integral member of the LCH SA leadership team
  • Working with leadership team of LCH SA and with the leaders across LCH Group more widely, act as a solutioning partner and architect to work through the people implications of significant business decisions, influencing those decisions by using organisational health metrics and analytics regularly e.g., understanding the global footprint of the functional area, the talent alignment and resource allocation, and driving strategic workforce planning
  • Oversees delivery and implementation of core People initiatives and cyclical activities (e.g., employee voice strategy, Equity, Diversity & Inclusion (EDI) strategy, performance and reward frameworks, succession planning with business units and divisions, and improving colleague experience)
  • Acts as a change agent within the LCH organisation and across the People Function, influencing and coaching leadership teams to break down silos, reflect, evolve, transform, innovate and manage talent
  • Builds and strengthens the talent pool through comprehensive talent management including succession planning, talent flow and career management, talent acquisition and onboarding
  • Uses the Rewards and Incentives frameworks as an appropriate driver of organisational performance, working closely with the Reward CoE and Finance teams to ensure appropriate uses of various reward levers.
  • Build relationship and gain influence with the LCH SA Board and its sub committees, including presenting to the Board the People plan and progress against the plan. This also includes fostering strong relationship with the Remuneration committee and presenting to it the proposals for annual remuneration review.
  • Build strong, trust relationship with the LCH SA Works Council, working with them and influencing to drive and implement change.
  • Work with the Country People Partners to build an integrated and cohesive working approach to key people strategy for France, breaking down silos and bringing a closer relationship between the LCH SA Works Council and the wider European Works Council.
  • Educates self on external trends and the competitive landscape, understanding the impact of those on the business and bringing that insight into the functional leadership team
  • Working across the Markets People team, feed into the divisional people plan, taking accountability for driving parts of the plan and undertaking strategic projects in addition to the general partnering support required to drive the business success
  • Co-creates with the COEs to design, develop, deliver and promote people programs, delivering against the Group and Divisional Strategic Objectives

WHAT YOU’LL BRING:

  • Extensive HR Business partner experience with a commercial / revenue generating business line, partnering with and influencing CEOs, Heads of businesses, COOs etc.
  • Experience of working in a global matrix environment and a track record of achieving in this context.
  • Strong achievement partnering with a global client group, or experience of working internationally
  • Fluent and deep level of comfort with verbal and written French and English, especially in a business setting.
  • Demonstrated ability to challenge the status quo and drive change
  • Demonstrated record of working with a commercial mindset to achieve the strategic and financial outcomes for the business whilst balancing in line with the risk appetite of the organisation.
  • Track record of designing and being accountable for the delivery of a global people strategy, including leading on cyclical activities eg annual remuneration reviews
  • Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Experience actively managing health of an organisation (engagement, culture, D&I etc.)
  • Ability to analyse and leverage data to help leaders make informed business decisions
  • Experience of building relationships and working with Works Councils.
  • Preferably has experience of working with a Board of Directors and Remuneration Committee.
