We have an exciting opportunity to appoint an outstanding candidate with a high degree of professionalism to the Pre-Award team, in Research and Innovation Services (RIS) at the University of Bath!
About the role:
Working in an established team of well respected Pre-Award experts, the Due Diligence and Compliance Manager is responsible for ensuring all externally funded research applications and awards meet with funder and university due diligence and compliance requirements.
Working with the Head of Team as well as other Pre-Award and RIS colleagues, the post-holder will take ownership of the research-related due diligence processes within RIS.
Core activities will include:
- detailed reviews of due diligence checks on all funders and collaborators
- high-quality management reporting
- support and training of academic and professional services staff about research-related risk and compliance
- as well as improvement of the current processes as the landscape evolves.
The role is offered on a part time (29.2 hours per week) permanent basis and is eligible for hybrid working (minimum one day per week working on campus – usually on Wednesdays). About you:
You will have excellent organisational, interpersonal and communication skills along with a good understanding of the research funding landscape for the higher education sector. An ability to scrutinise sophisticated documents and draw out relevant information, with excellent attention to detail and self-confidence and the ability to stand their ground, remaining calm under pressure.
