About the role 

Join our vibrant and busy team as a Sous Chef, working from our industry leading campus and enjoying an excellent work-life balance. 

We’re excited to be offering an excellent opportunity to work in a modern facility at Staffordshire University, Stoke Campus, supervising the production of fresh, vibrant, on-trend food for staff and students in our Catalyst Building (new for 2023). 

At Staffordshire University we provide a fresh and vibrant Bistro menu serving a breakfast and lunch offer as well as a deli bar the provides freshly made salads , sandwiches and pastries. The catering team are responsible for providing the food and service delivery of corporate dinners as well as nursery meals for up to 100 children. 

The successful candidate will enjoy working mostly daytime shifts between Monday and Friday with occasional paid overtime available, including evening and weekends.

We require a chef with high standards and flair to give our customers exceptional food at competitive prices to keep their bodies and brains fuelled for the day. Using the latest equipment in a purpose-built kitchen the ideal candidate will be from a fresh food background with experience in function work as well as having a passion for flavours from around the world. 

This role will suit a chef with an eye for detail, impeccable hygiene standards and in depth knowledge of HACCP and allergen management who wants to enjoy the buzz of a busy kitchen with the benefit of time with their family.
