Royal Canin has a strong innovation agenda delivering health and nutrition to cats & dogs through 3 business pillars: Veterinarian, Professionals and Specialized Pet Trade. Within this context, Do it Best (DiB) & Inbound Resilience are priority enablers requiring dedicated portfolio management with increasing complexity and scale. The Efficiency & Resilience Senior Procurement PMO has overall responsibility of the planning and execution of projects partnering with the Project Owner to manage the stage/gate process. The objective is to focus on execution, improved visibility of risks and help to establish a culture of excellence in execution in close collaboration with global and regional teams: R&D, Marketing, Supply/VCO, Commercial, Regulatory, Graphic Chain, Q&FS and S&F as well as external suppliers and consultants.

The EU procurement team brings the end-to-end value creation model to life – a holistic balance of inbound Cost, Quality, Service, Sustainability and People. We manage over half of the global spend of Royal Canin representing the largest contributor to the European P&L by far. The cross-segment complexity and volume of projects required to deliver sustainable savings (DiB) while maintaining inbound resilience requires careful coordination to maximize value and resource effectiveness.

What are we looking for?

• Previous experience in procurement functions in FMCG
• Demonstrated expertise managing multiple projects in a complex environment
• Knowledgeable of PPM, Smartsheet, automation and other digital tools
• Demonstrated ability to influence without authority and build consensus among multiple groups with diverse priorities, functions, and cultures
• Excellent communication skills in English

What would be your key responsibilities?

• Lead cross-functional teams through the project management process to deliver Efficiency & Resilience at scale
• Be a leader within the Regional Procurement leadership Team including Supplier Quality Assurance, Operations, Directs & Indirects Sourcing, and Sustainability
• Develop and own project planning and timelines. Ensure alignment of stakeholders on key decisions points, issues, risk management and actions.
• Govern adherence of the project to Quest process and the approval of gate readiness to advance projects. Guide the teams through escalation and approval process through e.g. S&OP.
• Shape timely relevant project communications including clear recommendations.
• Drive root causes analysis relating to the challenges encountered throughout the project delivery and leads cross functional problem solving and post projects/post launch reviews.
• Maintain a collaborative, motivated, and effective team by identifying required team players and engaging them.
