This role offers the opportunity to an organised professional who will support the Head of Enterprise and Engagement Unit (EEU) in the co-ordination and operation of UCLan Business Enquiries to support the management of enquiries and delivery of services from academics and students to external stakeholders.

The EEU is a Unit formed to support the identification, support and facilitation of research, innovation and enterprise activity at the University. The Enquiries team within EEU will be the first point of contact for our ‘front door model’, for enquirers and the Support team will facilitate and support the delivery by academics of various products and services including (but not limited to) research contracts and collaborations, Continuing professional development, use of facilities and degree apprenticeships.

As part of the Research and Enterprise Service, EEU contributes to the delivery of the University’s strategic objectives particularly in relation research and knowledge exchange. The enquiries team within EEU will have specific responsibility for capturing enquiries, logging them on our CRM system and then triaging them to determine their flow through the organisation ensuring that enquiries are dealt with in a professional manner.

The successful applicant will be educated to Degree (or equivalent experiential learning) plus GSCE Maths and English Language. They will have recent experience of managing the delivery of complex administrative processes in a customer-focused environment, experience of minute-taking and organising meetings and experience of supervising teams of staff and workloads.

The successful applicant will have demonstrable evidence of both strong written and verbal communication skills to present information clearly and succinctly to individuals and groups, strong planning and organisational abilities, with demonstrable ability to prioritise own workload and that of others. They will also have a proven ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines, particularly in a multi-functional team.
