The European Works Council, or EWC, established in 1997, is the representative body for Generali Group employees in Europe and currently consists of 43 delegates from 17 EU countries.EWC main purpose is to be informed and consulted on European transnational projects/initiatives/measures of the Group which have relevant interest for workers. Digital transformation and next normal & new ways of working are also very relevant topics in the EWC current agenda, which in fact are also part of the recent Joint Declaration on the New Sustainable Way of Working in a Next Normal Scenario defined with the EWC.To ensure a continuous dialogue between the Secretary, Deputy Secretary, EWC select committee and the Group, a specific team called EWC Relations And Labour Network was set up at the Generali Group Head Office.Within the EWC Relations And Labour Network team we are looking for a talented and proactive person to join the team.Key responsibilities of the role will include:

  • Support the consolidation of social dialogue with the EWC participating in the EWC information and consultation process, managing the alignment of local HR and Business Units involved in transnational group projects
  • Strengthen relationships and communication with the EWC on Group initiatives and projects
  • Act as the “permanent interlocutor” with the EWC Secretary, Vice-Secretary, and the Select Committee
  • Periodically update GHO teams and local People / Labour Relations referents on the outcomes of EWC meetings
  • Prepare and participate in meetings, contribute to documentation, prepare presentations, and draft meeting minutes
  • Manage critical social – labour cases by applying the Group European Social Charter
  • Oversee and coordinate the organization and logistics of all meetings, managing relationships with suppliers (especially interpreters)
  • Manage accounting through the assigned budget, including supplier payments and participant expense reimbursements

The ideal candidate will meet the following requirements:

  • Degree in Law, Human Resources, economics-political or sociological sciences, international relations, or a related field
  • 7/10 years of experience in the legal or HR department of a multinational Company, preferably in global roles
  • Regulatory and contractual analysis and interpretation
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Italian and English working proficiency
