• Design and implement scale-down models to investigate unit operations in an R&D environment, leading to scale-up and tech transfer to pilot or full-scale production, with emphasis on spray drying;
• Oversee the technical transfer of chemical processes to manufacturing sites in close collaboration with production and industrialization teams, particularly for spray drying applications;
• Leverage core principles of chemical engineering, including kinetics, thermodynamics, and transport phenomena;
• Utilize both statistical and mechanistic (first-principles) models to deepen process understanding and support development, optimization, and troubleshooting

Responsabilità:What we’re looking for

• Degree in Chemical Engineering is required; 3-5 years of experience in chemical process modeling is preferred. A PhD is considered a strong asset;
• Hands-on experience in at least one of the following areas: Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), Discrete Element Method (DEM), or Population Balance Modeling (PBM);
• Solid programming skills; knowledge of VBA or Python is a plus;
• Familiarity with process modeling tools such as Dynochem, gPROMS, Aspen Plus, Ansys Fluent, OpenFOAM, or MStar;
• Experience in spray drying modeling is a distinct advantage.

Nice to have

• Previous experience communicating with senior management;
• Knowledge of spray drying process development;
• Previous experience with multidisciplinary teams.
