Apply today!Job Details#INDWC#Ll-HybridThe Role:The role of the Export Team Leader is to assist the Operations Manager with the smooth running of the export operation. This will include monitoring the teams’ day to day workload / priority setting. General progress, assisting with any ongoing training that may be required, arranging, and covering shifts due to holidays/ sickness / weekend coverage.Primary Duties & Responsibilities:· To lead the export team, set priorities and delegate responsibilities to team members thereby ensuring that most effective coverage is made on a day to day basis.· Monitor team members workload for most effective completion of workload· Communicate and work with fellow teamleaders and Operations Manager to achieve unified daily / weekly targets· To identify and alert the Operations Manager to problem shipments and potential issues. To work with the other team members to solve the problem in the quickest and most efficient way.· Responsible for the monitoring of progress of team members ensuring all procedures are followed and understood.· Assist with any ongoing training requirements of the team to ensure overall ability to deal with all aspects of the job· To ensure weekly shifts are sufficiently covered. To identify in advance any shortfalls in the shift Rota and ensure suitable cover is arranged.· To work with the Operation Manager in ensuring all team members have relevant information and available support to carry out their roles to the expected high standards of World Courier.· Have full and extensive knowledge of how to use the internal and external computer systems including: TMS, SharePoint, , Customs entry software applications etc· Be ever so mindful of potential issues and ongoing improvements· Set a good example to all staff members.MINIMUM SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTSKnowledge & Skills:· Able to see the whole picture· Able to follow procedures and instructions· Able to provide relevant information on request· Good communication skills – verbally and written· Able to delegate and oversee day to day operations· Must be fully capable of discharging all aspects of the operations role consistently and to a high standard.·Personal Attributes and Disposition:· Ability to work as part of a team and independently· Self motivated· Remains Calm under pressure· Flexible attitude – for working shifts and last-minute coverage· High attention to detail· Uses own initiative· Able to prioritise workload· Friendly & polite· Dependable, reliable and trustworthy· Must possess good leadership qualities· Physically fit and able to undertake the required tasks.WORK ENVIRONMENTThe work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an associate encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
