Job Overview
TE Connectivity’s Facilities Team conduct facilities and property administration, office planning, corporate leasing and/or real estate coordination. They work closely and provide advice and counsel to company and/or vendor representatives coordinating major facility constructions or modifications or leasing and real estate activities.
Tasks and Responsibilities
- Ensure the safety of property and people within the company.
- Ensure the application of hygiene, maintenance, and safety rules in compliance with corporate social responsibility and sustainable development requirements.
- Keep abreast of technological and regulatory developments related to installations and buildings, and develop technical procedures and guidelines.
- Plan and supervise, with the support of the team, the interventions for installation, setup, maintenance, and monitoring.
- Schedule and oversee security operations.
- Verify the qualifications of employees and their access rights.
- Ensure that suppliers comply with EHS rules, and draft and sign prevention plans and hot work permits.
- Guarantee and propose improvements to the site’s equipment and surveillance procedures (intrusion, video systems, access control, evacuation, etc.).
- Optimize the site’s infrastructure according to needs and budget constraints.
- Under the supervision of the Site Director, establish the operating and investment budget with a focus on cost control, using precise management tools to monitor and track site consumption and infrastructure use.
- Optimize spaces, manage movements, and supervise office or workspace relocations and arrangements.
- With the team, oversee the maintenance and upkeep of the premises and exteriors, be responsible for the works and contract negotiations while complying with current regulations (cleaning, mail, reprography, reception, catering, etc.).
- Manage the site’s various energy sources and propose improvements.
- Administer and monitor subcontracting contracts related to General Services, ensuring follow-up and invoice control.
- Direct infrastructure-related projects and General Services projects.
- Establish project specifications, budget, planning, and follow-up.
- Ensure the improvement of equipment and building installations to provide a suitable working environment for the company and employees.
- Manage the team.
- Lead and develop the skills of the General Services team.
- Supervise and evaluate a team of qualified individual contributors by setting objectives and supporting their development.
- Allocate and organize the necessary resources (human and operational) based on needs.
What your background should look like:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher with 5 years of experience in a similar role.
- Proficiency in budget management
- Proficiency in computer tools (Excel, PowerPoint…)
