Feed Mill Receiving Operator – 1st Shift

The Feed Mill Receiver loads and unloads feed trucks at the feed mill and tests samples of all incoming ingredients.

Essential Duties, Functions, and Responsibilities

The qualified applicant will possess the following KSAOs:

• Load/Unload Feed trucks
• Accurately document loading and unloading data on receiving and shipping logs and tickets
• Unpack all ingredients and medication supplies and verify packing lists
• Sample and test ingredients prior to unloading trucks
• Daily basic housekeeping (sweeping, trash, cleaning) and maintenance
• Other assigned duties as needed

Basic computer skills

• Ability to climb ladders and work at heights (40+ feet), including catwalks
• Ability to Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification
• Ability to work in seasonal, outdoor conditions (hot, cold, or wet conditions)
• Ability to lift up to 60 pounds
• Ability to walk, stand, climb for extended periods of time
• Basic reading and writing skills

Applicants must meet the following minimum qualifications in order to be considered for this position:

• No minimum education requirement; high school diploma or equivalent preferred
• No previous work experience required
• Previous experience in a light to medium industrial setting preferred, with preference give to individuals who have previously worked in a feed mill

Must be willing to work overtime and flexible shifts as required, including weekends, holidays, and other shifts
