This position serves as an engineering consultant during pre- and post-sales activities and will collaborate with the broader commercial team to maximize sales growth, support instrument uptime, and customer satisfaction.It is essential to have a valid driving license within Spain with the flexibility to travel up to 60% across the region. Fluent language skills in both English and Spanish are also essential.Illumina’s employee benefits are industry-leading and include, flexible time off, private medical insurance, compassion and care time off, leisure travel insurance, pension, employee stock purchasing program, volunteer time off, and much more!ResponsibilitiesDemonstrates some technical competence while installing, upgrading, repairing, and maintaining instrument systems in defined territory.Coordinate and prioritize service requests to guarantee SLA’s and ensure customer satisfaction.Perform facility inspections, instrument installation and validation.Liaise with customer IT departments and assist with information for system installation and perform network troubleshooting.As a primary interface to the customer, work with cross functional teams to address difficult repair situations, helping to return customer systems to fully functional status in the shortest time possibleComplete of service reports and associated documentation on-time following the quality standards.Keep CRM information updated.Ensure proper inventory levels and control accuracy of service parts.Meet service and support KPI’sRemain compliant with administrative responsibilitiesDiscover leads, and timely contract renewalsEstablish and maintain relationships with customers to ensure their success utilizing our products and services.Provide effective problem resolution assistance to subsidiary or distributor support.Represent the company professionally, ethically, and morally at all times.RequirementsElectronics or Engineering diploma or somes experience as a Field Service Engineer, ideally experience with Medical Devices.Good knowledge of IT networking concepts with experience in device configuration and troubleshooting.Excellent working knowledge of Linux and Windows Operating Systems.Fluent in Spanish and English.Be willing to travel up to 60% of the time.Ability to travel within Spain, and occasionally in Europe.Valid driver’s license.What Can You ExpectOur team members are bright, energetic, and dedicated – they are the driving force behind our innovation and impact.
