With 120 staff in the UK and a strong brand reputation, the company is expanding its service team in line with strong business performance and continued growth.Role OverviewAs a Service Engineer, you will be responsible for the maintenance, service, installation, and commissioning of machinery at client sites. This role requires a mechanically biased engineer with a strong understanding of electrical systems, capable of working independently and delivering exceptional customer service.Key Responsibilities

• Service, repair, and commission food processing and packaging equipment
• Diagnose mechanical faults on components such as bearings, shafts, gearboxes, pulleys, and chains
• Carry out electrical fault finding, including reading and interpreting electrical drawings
• Perform software updates, change IO cards, and configure HMIs (inputs and outputs)
• Install new machinery and support commissioning activities
• Deliver scheduled preventative maintenance and respond to breakdowns
• Work in food production environments, including wet and cold conditions
• Typically one service visit per day
• Maintain professional and proactive communication with customers and internal teams

Candidate Profile

• Strong mechanical background with electrical understanding
• Previous experience in FMCG, food processing, packaging, material handling, or capital equipment involving conveyors
• Background as a service engineer or maintenance engineer
• Confident working in food industry environments
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
• Flexible for occasional overnight stays (approximately 15 nights per year)
