What you’ll be doing
This role will see you working with primary and secondary schools, colleges, and universities
to deliver curriculum-linked activities that will increase students understanding of nature and
the environment.
Your day to day will include developing, planning, and delivering courses in outdoor teaching
sites to students on science and geography school trips. This will involve leading groups of
all abilities in the local environment, ensuring you always have the health and safety of the
group in mind.
When you are not working in the field, you will also be happy to contribute to other aspects of
working in a busy education centre. This is a very active role, some weeks will be long and
tiring, but our tutors find this work very rewarding, and we promise you will too!

Where you’ll be based
The Rhyd-y-Creuau Field Centre is set in the beautiful, rugged landscape of the Snowdonia
National Park, yet close to secluded wooded valleys, rocky shores, beaches and traditional
seaside resorts.
Our 2.2 hectare estate includes a football pitch, woodland, biodiversity garden, campfire area,
teambuilding challenges, stream and ponds.
We are a short drive south from the A55 North Wales Expressway, making us easily accessible
throughout the year from most areas. The nearest railway station is at Betws-y-Coed, which is a
simple flat walk of around 1km.
Who we’re looking for
You will have a degree or equivalent in a relevant subject and some previous experience of
teaching or tutoring. You will also be confident with producing and preparing various learning
resources. In addition, you will have:
