Irish Cement Limited, a subsidiary of CRH plc, is seeking to recruit a suitably qualified Accountant to join the Finance team. This permanent position is based at its Head Office in Platin, Drogheda, Co. Louth. The role reports to the Financial Controller.

Louth and a second in Castlemungret, Co. Limerick. Production uses the most advanced, energy-efficient technology to create a range of high-quality cements to the highest Irish and International standards.
The person will be involved in:
-Monthly management accounts reporting to CRH group (US GAAP)
-Budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis
-Preparation of annual statutory accounts (IFRS)
-Pension scheme accounting
-Tax compliance including VAT and Revenue returns
-Balance sheet management
-Maintaining a strong control environment in accordance with SOX requirements
-Internal and external audit support
-Various ad-hoc tasks and projects
The successful candidate should ideally possess:
-A professional accountancy qualification
-Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
-Proven technical skills and strong commercial acumen
-Excellent IT skills (MS Office, Excel, ERP system)
-Knowledge of Oracle an advantage
-Experience of USGAAP reporting and SOX controls
-Strong attention to detail and experience in industry an advantage
