The Department of Physics seeks to appoint a permanent full-time Finance Administrator to join our professional services team.
This is a new post in the team, sitting alongside the Finance Manager and existing Finance Administrator in the Finance team to provide high level financial support for the department and all aspects of research and teaching. You will be joining an established team of motivated finance and projects staff working within the Physics department.
Duties will be shared between the two Finance Administrators and could include overseeing the department’s research grant portfolio, budget forecasting and reporting, advising on terms and conditions, contributing to departmental financial planning, managing departmental and group budgets, and overseeing all purchasing and payments. You will have line management responsibility for team members, and ideally bring experience of supervising and developing staff from a previous role.
Training will be provided as appropriate. During the probationary/training period you will be expected to work on campus. There is scope for hybrid working once probation and training are completed satisfactorily.
