Job description

For a newly created role in our client’s structure – a function reporting directly to the MD, with responsibility for several companies located in Poland and Eastern Europe (the latter are definitely smaller entities). The priority for this function is to address two main areas – group reporting and unification of reporting standards, and to work on increasing the company’s profitability through cost optimization in all areas of operations and entering the role of business partner managing the areas of prices/ margins/ competition/ products/ recommendations. • Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting in cooperation with HQ and corporate management, assure timely and correct financial reporting.
• Monitor and analyze financial performance, making recommendations for improvements & support for strategic decisions.
• Optimize and enforce financial controls and processes.
• Report on financial performance to senior management, providing key insights into trends and opportunities.
• Provide financial and business support to the local team.
• Leading Finance and Administration Team.
• Monitoring the Product and Customer profitability of the PL, ensuring adequate reporting;
• Creating and analyzing reports on operational efficiency, including the identification of deviations and providing interpretations to support the optimization of operations
• Preparing comparisons between budget, actual costs and forecasts, as well as carrying out ad-hoc analyses, tailored to the current needs of the management.
• Development of controlling tools and management information systems, enabling more precise monitoring and reporting of financial results.
• Analysis of financial results, reporting and recommending corrective actions and further initiatives
• Participation in the financial planning and control cycle, including the budgeting, forecasting, month-end closing and preparation of management reports
• Participation in the analysis of business cases related to the expansion or modernization of operations
• Creating, monitoring and analyzing KPIs to support data-driven decisions and improve the efficiency of the organization

Requirements:

• A university degree in Finance, Accounting, Controlling or a related field.
• Advanced Excel skills; SAP knowledge is an advantage.
• Fluency in English
• 3–6 years of experience in a similar role, with demonstrated expertise in financial management.
• Strong analytic and communication skills and an independent way of working in a quickly changing environment.
• Ability to manage a multi-person team, set priorities, make decisions and enforce their implementation,
