Overview:We are looking for a Finance Specialist to join our team in our central office in Amsterdam, Netherlands.You will be working hand in hand with our Finance team and will be responsible for the coordination of the accounting and audit procedures of our legal entities. You will also have the opportunity to take part in various Finance projects and collaborate with different functions within the organization.Responsibilities:YOU will be involved in the following tasks:– Coordinate and actively participate in various upcoming finance projects
– Coordinate transition between service providers for statutory accounting and tax compliance services
– Oversee audit progress for each legal entity, assist with auditor discussions, help to facilitate auditor change process
– Manage discussions with external service providers when needed to evaluate financial treatment of new transactions
– Maintain and review finance policies and procedures
– Assist with reviewing balance sheet account reconciliations, highlighting potential issues
– Interact with other finance and accounting personnel through the organization, connecting functions and share information
– Assist with monthly closing activities
– Prepare management reports and financial information on a periodic basis or as required by projects Qualifications:What YOU will bring to the team:– College/ University degree in Finance / Economics/ Accounting
– Minimum 5 years relevant work experience in accounting or audit area
– Strong SAP knowledge
– Great communication and stakeholder management skills
– Project management skills
– Critical thinking skills
– Effective problem solving skills
– Proactive, self-starter attitude
