Job Description :Financial Controlling Junior ManagerLocation: Budapest, HungaryContract term: Full time, PermanentAbout the FunctionFinancial Controlling and Analysis (FC&A) Tower is part of Global Business Operations and provides oversight on financial activities and controls including general accounting, management and external reporting and financial planning and analysis. The tower is responsible for the interpretation of financial and statutory data, the coordination and management of financial and statutory reporting, the management of the P&L and balance sheet delivering solutions that will increase insight and transparency. Tower responsibilities also include ensuring there is a true and fair representation of business performance at the cut-off point for the period and transparency on financials for Business Performance Management.Purpose of Role:To support the Financial Controller to understand business operations and issues, ensure the financial implications of these are captured correctly in the financial and statutory statementsTo ensure the information in the legal entity financial & statutory statements accurately and completely reflects our business operationsTo give technical accounting guidance for different areas within the team and in the region,To support the decision-making process with different accounting analysis,To ensure that the policies and procedures are understood and followed in the team and act as advisor to other CG group function teamsTo lead and coach the teamTo support the internal and external auditsTop 3-5 Accountabilities:Perform month end close responsibilities including journal entry preparation (e.g. accounting guidance and ensuring proper backup information and data in alignment with PCAOB requirements)Ensure that financial & statutory processes are undertaken accurately, efficiently, on time and that the surrounding internal control procedures are strictly adhered to in line with the internal (CARM) and external requirements,Support the FAC process, provide analysis for the FAC completionProvide the Financial Control team with technical accounting guidance and act as the technical expert for of the Financial Controlling teamUnderstand, interpret, and implement Group Accounting and Reporting requirements; communicate requirements to the rest of the Financial Control team and to relevant teams in the marketQualifications and Experience Required:Degree educated in relevant finance / accounting/ businessQualified accountant6-7 years’ experience in accounting areaExperience working within an international / multicultural environmentExemplary Risk Management (Internal Controls, Managing Risk, Embedding Compliance & Ethics)Strong Financial Controlling knowledge (Balance sheet, Group and Local Financial Reporting, Accounting principles)Strong analytical skills to be able to see and understand the big picture and deliver high level message, offering alternative solutions for issuesFluent English knowledgeFlexible Working StatementFlexibility is key to our success.
