As a Fleet Superintendent, you will take on a pivotal role in managing and overseeing the fleet operation and maintenance of our sophisticated container vessels, which are equipped with cutting-edge technologies such as electronically controlled engines and state-of-the-art Waste-Heat Recovery systems. You will have the unique opportunity to develop your leadership skills by managing the Captains and Chief Engineers assigned to the vessels in your portfolio. Your leadership will ensure the safe, efficient, and cost-effective operation of these vessels, fully aligned with Maersk’s values and goals.What We Offer:A dynamic and international working environment among skilled and dedicated colleagues.Continuous opportunities to apply and develop your competencies in a performance-oriented company.A commitment to diversity, inclusivity, and maintaining a healthy work-life balance.The opportunity to be part of a decarbonization agenda and contribute to the future of sustainable shipping.Key Responsibilities:Act as the primary manager for the Captains and Chief Engineers of assigned vessels.Uphold safety as a paramount responsibility and promote an effective team culture onboard.Foster strong sea-to-shore collaboration and drive engagement with your teams.Manage all operational matters concerning vessel maintenance, repairs, and modifications within budget constraints.Plan and coordinate inspections and dry dockings of vessels.Ensure compliance with vessel certifications, surveys, and international regulations.Monitor vessel performance and implement corrective actions as necessary.Oversee financial budgets related to maintenance, repairs, and dry dockings.Propose innovative solutions for improvements and cost savings.Ensure quality standards are met by shipyards, workshops, and suppliers.Conduct technical and vetting inspections.Provide operational feedback to enhance Maersk’s future newbuilding pipeline.Contribute actively to our decarbonization initiatives.Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports for management.Who We Are Looking For:We seek a proactive leader with excellent communication and collaboration skills, able to navigate multiple stakeholders and tasks concurrently.
