HoscoWhere passion meets opportunityThe best of your adventures is the one you have yet to sail!Your PurposeThe Forwarding Operator is responsible for executing all kind of transports, organizing goods shipments from a point of origin to a destination, while ensuring the respect of agreed delivery date and price.Your ImpactOrganizes the shipment of goods (e.g. packing, containers import and export management, intermodal transports, truck transport – including special transport conditions such as perishable or dangerous goods);Arranges goods loading/unloading, return to the vendor or for repair;Manages transportation documents, customs clearance procedures and insurance paperwork liaising with freight forwarders for customs formalities;Monitors the goods real-time shipment status and updates ships and departments involved;Checks that shipments are collected and delivered in accordance with the contract and applicable country regulations, while resolving any issues;Negotiates terms of carriage with carriers when logistics services are not available from contracted suppliers and manages special requests;Delivers superior operational efficiency;Deals with health/veterinary authorities and CITES for products certification delivered to ships via CTX;Proactively works with the departments involved providing them with logistics and customs support.Your Journey so farGood knowledge of local and international carriers and shipment organization.Ability to cope well with pressure and work to deadlines.Good organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and follow up.Your EssentialsPrevious working experience in the role in international transportation, logistics and supply chain industries (minimum 1 year).Fluent in English and Italian; any additional language is an advantage.MS Office literate; knowledge of logistics software and platforms is an advantage.Degree in Economics, Logistics, or Maritime fields and/or specific forwarding training.Our commitmentWe are committed to building a future that values diverse perspectives, embraces the world beyond borders, and fosters an inclusive environment where every individual feels valued, respected and empowered to be their authentic selves.
