Are you a talented educator, with a background in Chemistry or Chemistry with Maths, looking for your next challenge?

Due to the popularity of our programmes within the Foundation Studies Centre, we are looking for someone to contribute to the teaching of the Science Foundation Year. The successful applicant will have a strong track record in developing and delivering innovative A-level (FHEQ level 3), foundation level, or equivalent curricula within the areas of Chemistry, or Chemistry with Maths.

Applications are strongly encouraged from individuals within the Secondary and Further Education sectors as well as those currently within Higher Education.

A dedication to providing outstanding student support is essential, along with a collegiate approach to working with colleagues across the different subject disciplines within the College, and the ambition to succeed in an exciting, thriving and supportive atmosphere.

The award winning Foundation Studies Centre, within the College of Health and Science, provides a transformative foundation year (year zero) experience for students on the major degree programmes within the Schools of Life and Environmental Sciences, Pharmacy, Chemistry, Engineering, Computer Science, and Mathematics and Physics.

The University of Lincoln offers exciting career opportunities with the chance to grow and develop to reach your full potential. We have a wide range of staff benefits, including a generous annual leave allowance of 35 days per year pro rata (plus an additional 14 bank holiday and concessionary days), access and support for training and career development, progressive pay rates, access to discounts at popular stores and more.

The University is set in the heart of the beautiful, safe and friendly city of Lincoln, and is a forward-thinking, ambitious, international institution with high aspirations and a strong record of widening participation in Higher Education.

As the timetable for 2023/24 has now been set, we would ideally be interested in candidates who are able to work on Thursdays and Fridays for this academic year, as part of their 0.6 FTE. We are happy to be as flexible as possible to accommodate this.

For more information or an informal discussion about the post, please contact Professor Ellie Davison, Director of Foundation Year Studies, at [email protected] .

As an institutional Athena SWAN Bronze Award holder we are committed to advancing gender equality in STEM, therefore female applicants are strongly encouraged to apply.
