Job Title: FPGA Design Engineer

Location: Seville or Madrid, Spain

Type: Permanent

Our client are one of the biggest technology companies in Spain, working within Space and Defense.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, simulate, and implement FPGA-based digital systems (VHDL/Verilog).

Integrate FPGA logic with RF, mixed-signal, and embedded systems.

Perform synthesis, timing analysis, and optimization for performance and reliability.

Develop test benches and verification environments (ModelSim, Questa, etc.).

Support board bring-up, lab validation, and system-level integration.

Collaborate with hardware, RF, and software engineers through full lifecycle development.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or related field.

3+ years FPGA design experience (Xilinx, Intel, or Microchip).

Strong VHDL/Verilog coding and simulation skills.

Experience with timing closure, DSP blocks, and high-speed I/O.

Desirable (Highly Valued):

Experience with RF signal processing, beamforming, or digital downconversion.

Knowledge of radiation-tolerant FPGA design and space-grade components.

Familiarity with high-speed interfaces (SERDES, JESD204, PCIe).

Experience with embedded processors (MicroBlaze, Nios II, or ARM-based).

Exposure to DO-254 or ECSS standards is a plus.
