The selected individual will join the HW&FW Display&Processing team, focusing on the development and delivery of Air Traffic Management products for both international and domestic markets.Key Responsibilities

• Define FPGA requirements based on avionics equipment specifications or the host board for the programmable component.
• Design the FPGA architecture.
• Code the architecture using HDL.
• Perform functional simulations.
• Manage constraining, synthesis, fitting, and timing analysis.
• Release all documentation required by the hardware development process.
• Coordinate collaborations with external suppliers.
• Provide project status reporting.
• Offer support for HW/SW integration and board insertion into the higher-level system.

Academic Background

• Master’s Degree in Electronic Engineering.

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in firmware development for FPGAs.
• Knowledge of major FPGAs: AMD/Xilinx, Intel/Altera, Microchip.
• Familiarity with hardware description languages such as VHDL, Verilog, and HLS, or model-based approaches (e.g., The Mathworks suite).

Language Skills

• Good working knowledge of English (B2 level).
• Good working knowledge of Italian (B2 level).

IT Skills

• Document Management Tools: knowledge of requirements management tools like ReqTracer and Doors is a plus.
• Firmware Development Tools: Vivado, Vitis, Quartus, QuestaSim, HDL Designer, HLS, and System Generator.
• Modeling Tools (Model-Driven Engineering): Matlab and Simulink.
