Salary: Grade 7 (£36,333 – £43,155 p.a. depending on experience) 

This role will be based on the university campus, with scope for it to be undertaken in a hybrid manner.   We are also open to discussing flexible working arrangements.

Working as part of the University Student Education Service you will be responsible for the effective delivery of the Student Support function within your Faculty.  You will work in close partnership with the School Education Service Managers, other Functional leads, Academic Leads and the Service Delivery Manager to lead, shape, develop and manage the Student Support function.  You will require strong leadership skills to be able to drive change and take forward the Faculty and University vision for the Student Support function to support an excellent student experience.  You will work in partnership with the School Education Service Managers to ensure student education processes and practices within the Faculty are managed effectively, delivered consistently and to agreed quality standards.  You will support continuous process improvement for both the Faculty and the University’s student education practices and processes.

Reporting to the Service Delivery Manager, with responsibility to the University’s Student Support Functional Lead, you will work collaboratively with other members of the Student Education Management Team as led by the Service Partner and as part of the University Student Support Functional Management Team to ensure staff resources are managed and to set key priorities. 

In this client focused role you will contribute to Faculty level plans and University Student Support functional projects within Student Education, working collaboratively with colleagues across the University, facilitating good communication, building positive working relationships and delivering results. You will represent the Faculty Functional team, representing the Faculty at institutional level.  Setting key priorities, managing and harmonising processes across the Student Support function, you will share good practice and encourage knowledge exchange.
